EYFS Curriculum Based Modules
Our Farm Education Centre programme has been designed around curriculum based modules by Elaine Smith, who has over 20 years of experience as both a teacher and a dairy farmer. Elaine works with teachers to provide pre-visit planning, lesson plans based on the modules of your choice, and take the lead educator role for your pupils on the day.
Visits are available for teachers with pupils in Key Stages 1 & 2, and modules are broken down by subject and year group.
Lancashire Farm Education Centre is OFSTEAD registers, and team members are DBS checked. We provide visit planning information, risk assessment documentation, plus insurance for your visit.

Home Farm was established by the Smith Family over 117 years ago to provide dairy to the local area. Today, we’re still producing milk, but have modernised the farm with robotic milking machines and a host of other time and cost saving features.
The farm is divided in to sections including the new-born nursery, cow shed, maternity ward, robotic milking parlour, and food storage.
